I wanted to release this episode at this time of the year, because honestly for the past few years, even though things have grown, been better, and I’ve loved life more, during this time of year is when I have irrational feelings.

Not being good enough, "why am I creating?", and "what is the purpose of this?" are questions many of ask this time of year, so I wanted to address those and hopefully help some of you in the process!

Wedding photographers are always wondering what they can do to level up their business and be better for free. When it comes to getting your wedding published and featured, this can be a free method to get your work noticed and hopefully get you more clients.

In this episode, I chat with Liz Fogarty, a Washington DC Wedding Photographer who has really dialed in getting published. Elizabeth has been published in huge outlets like Martha Stewart, The Knot, Style Me Pretty, and the front page of Washingtonian Magazine. We talk about some tools and techniques to get ready to submit your first wedding and get featured!

Have you ever counted the amount of hours you've spent editing, and then multiplied it by the number of shoots you've done? The number is terrifying! When you see that number, you wonder if your time was worth it or if it could've been spent better elsewhere.

In this episode, I talk with Nathan Holrtiz, founder of Photographers Edit, a custom image editing solution for wedding and portrait photographers about how he built this business and helps photographers get their lives back! No more living life at the desk!

What would your business look like if it suddenly had 10x the clients you currently do? Would your systems, workflows and processes be ready for that?

Knowing your workflow isn't most attractive thing to work on in your business, but it's all about making profit while working less hours to live the life you want. This is the reason we go into freelance!

In this episode, Dave Shay explains the value of workflow and processes while preparing for growth and gives his favorite tips to get started.
